SuperOyster released an alpha version of the platform in early May 2006. At that time it received critical acclaim from the widely read TechCrunch and O’Reilly Radar blogs.
Coverage was fairly global with Japan counting for more site traffic than the rest of the world combined (including the US). Additional coverage was found in South Korea, China, Russia, Lithuania, Israel and Western Europe. Here's a set of pointers to the press we have received.

Matt Kowalczyk - Founder and CEO
Mr. Kowalczyk spent 11 years at Microsoft specializing in new products and technologies. One of his bigger accomplishments was as a group member that successfully pitched the TabletPC concept to Bill Gates. Mr. Kowalczyk went on to lead a 65 person Test organization for the TabletPC team, which shipped the TabletPC software earlier than scheduled at a level of quality rarely seen in V1 products. This effort earned him two Gold Star awards, which are considered a very selective Microsoft honor.
Vamshi Reddy - Software Development
Mr. Reddy worked 12 years at Microsoft where he contributed to a very wide range of projects including the TabletPC product as a development lead. He helped establish the company’s foothold in India and has excelled at all levels of software including device drivers to applications to setup depending on what the situation demanded. Recently, Mr. Reddy started an online concierge service called www.yourmaninindia.com, which has been featured in many prominent media outlets such as the BBC and Esquire magazine.
Peter Brown - Software Development
Mr. Brown is a founding partner of Headless Hunter, LLC (http://www.jobsicle.com). With over 10 years of Internet/Web software development experience Mr. Brown has led development teams building software applications used by such companies as: Compaq, Newline Cinema, Match.com, Napster, Stanford University, Nintendo, and Levis Strauss Company, just to name a few. Mr. Brown was co-founder of two other start-ups, Internet Advantage, LLC, and Messenger9, Inc. for which he raised nearly $1 million in investment capital. He also served as the Director of Technology at Memetic Systems, Inc. a leading northwest online marketing company.
