Q. How did you come up with the name SuperOyster.com?

A. The name came from the idea that there are many prized possessions like the oyster’s pearl that exist in a person’s world.  And like a true oyster, some of those pearls are very hard to get.  With our systems, we make it possible for people to open the oyster and get their pearl.


Q. When people use your service to jump ahead, aren’t they going to upset others in line? Aren’t you promoting line cutting?

A.  The system provides a solution that is equitable for everyone. When people “jump ahead” by buying another position, they are actually buying an existing position. They are not creating a new one at the head of the line. The wait time for positions behind this one does not change.


Q. I understand the premise, but why doesn’t a merchant simply raise their prices?

A. SuperOyster.com optimizes the value of goods and services for a specific market. Market optimization can only be achieved thru variable pricing, but as history has shown, consumers become confused by variable pricing – as evidenced by the misunderstood price structure of airline tickets. SuperOyster.com provides a service by which a brand can both optimize the market AND maintain fixed prices which are understood by everyone.


Q. Why is your service more reliable than eBay?

A. Transactions are handled thru our patent pending web service and are federated directly to the merchant. We are enabling a merchant-to-person transaction which includes the service plans and guarantees that you would typically receive from a merchant. This is different than eBay which relies on person-to-person transactions which does not ensure such guarantees.

Q. Why did you choose PayPal as your billing provider? Why do sellers need a PayPal account?

A. PayPal is a proven billing provider that can has a platform that integrates well into ours. Sellers are required to have a PayPal account, as it is much easier and less expensive to electronically send funds than other means of payment.
